"I have a passion for complementary health care and in particular
the use of essential oils"
Over the past 20 years I have nurtured a passion for complementary health care and in particular the use of essential oils to encourage healing, promote relaxation, fight infection, combat stress, help throughout pregnancy and during labour and to deal with skin problems.
As a layperson, I read about and used essential oils for myself and my family. In 2002 I took my first step towards a career in complementary therapies by becoming initiated into the Usui system of Reiki. This was followed in 2004 by a VTCT course in Swedish Massage and finally I started on my goal towards becoming a professional aromatherapist in 2005.
After intensive study I qualified as a Clinical Aromatherapist with an Associate Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy in March 2006. The qualification is accredited by the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA) (www.ifparoma.org), the Institute of Aromatic Medicine (IAM) and The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA).
I studied at the Penny Price Academy of Aromatherapy and Health Studies (www.penny-price.com), which is well-established and highly respected in the field of aromatherapy and complementary health care training.
Since that time I have continued my training in this field and have become a Reiki master as well as attending workshops and courses on many other areas of complementary health care.
My aim is to provide individually-tailored complementary healthcare treatments in a warm, friendly environment to enable my clients to return home feeling relaxed, revived, re-energised and in control of their own health.
